Sponsors Taunton Deane Awards

Over 150 people turned out for an evening of celebration as Taunton Deane’s first Business Awards reached their climax. The black tie awards ceremony was held at Somerset County Cricket ground with guests MP for Taunton, Rebecca Pow and Taunton born business entrepreneur Deborah Meaden.

Opening the evening, Ms Pow shared her delight at being able to “celebrate all the amazing businesses we have in Taunton Deane, many of whom you never get to hear about normally”.

Deborah Meaden closed the event by announcing the Claims Consortium Group winner of the Commendation Award adding:

“This company clearly met all the criteria demonstrating growth, sustainability and a clear vision; in particular they portrayed strong commitment to staff development with in-house mentoring. Customer focus is keen and the company is going from strength to strength being one of the biggest employers in Taunton Deane – and still their staff describe the company as having a family feel. They are a great example of a big business remembering their little business roots and behaving well!”
